New Start to Pay $50,000 to End Workers’ Wage, Harassment Suit

New Start Capital LLC will pay $50,000 to a group of workers who said the company failed to accurately record their total hours to receive proper overtime pay or commissions.

Judge Gregory H. Woods of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York approved New Start’s offer of judgment in favor of the former sales representatives, according to an order entered on the docket Wednesday. The workers claimed New Start didn’t maintain records or provide compensation for any time worked beyond 40 hours in a workweek.
