A jury must decide if New Jersey’s Washington Township Board of Education failed to hire an elementary school physical education teacher for a middle school opening because he was 50 years old, a federal judge ruled.
The board missed the mark in arguing a trial wasn’t needed because Guy Campagna’s poor interview showed he wasn’t qualified, the US District Court for the District of New Jersey said.
