Nestle Accused of Deceptively Marketing San Pellegrino Drinks

Nestlé USA Inc. was accused in a new proposed class action of falsely advertising its San Pellegrino Sparkling Fruit Beverages as healthy despite containing high amounts of added sugar.

Jill Calangian and Natalie Gianne filed a complaint Thursday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California, alleging that San Pellegrino’s labeling and advertising of the beverages as “natural” and made with “Natural Origin Italian Lemons” misleadingly implies that the products are healthy and conducive to physical well-being.
