NCAA Football Players With Brain Injuries Denied Class Status

Former college football players at National Collegiate Athletic Association schools were blocked by a federal judge Friday from suing as a group in their case against the NCAA over alleged brain injuries.

The plaintiffs already released their rights to bring an action as an issue-based class for alleged football-related concussions in a 2019 settlement with the NCAA, Judge Manish S. Shah of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois said.
