NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo dismissed trademark claims Monday against Leaf Trading Cards LLC for allegedly selling items bearing the “Greek Freak” mark and his name, picture, and likeness without authorization.
The Milwaukee Bucks player agreed to dismiss the suit “without costs to either party,” according to a filing in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. Counsel for the parties didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
The complaint alleged that the collectibles manufacturer continued to sell items bearing Antetokounmpo’s intellectual property after their one-year license agreement ended in May 2014.
