NAV Consulting Sheds Race Bias Claims by Ethnic-Indian Ex-Worker

NAV Consulting Inc. and its CEO defeated remaining federal and state bias claims brought by a former senior account manager, a federal judge ruled.

Amit Arora sued the hedge fund administrator and its founder Nav Gupta alleging he wasn’t promoted and received less pay because of his Indian ethnicity and national origin, his Asian race, and his citizenship status. Nav moved for summary judgment on the claims, which the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois granted on Nov. 1. Judge Sara L. Ellis previously dismissed Arora’s 42 U.S.C. § 1981 claim.
