Nature’s Way $3.4 Million Memory Booster Deal Gets Early Nod

A $3.38 million deal resolving allegations that Schwabe North America Inc. and unit Nature’s Way Products LLC deceptively marketed gingko biloba-based supplements was tentatively approved by a California federal court.

However, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California declined to preliminarily approve the proposed attorneys’ fees award of 33% of the settlement fund, or the proposed $5,000 incentive award to named plaintiff Kathleen Sonner.

The plaintiffs’ lawyers didn’t provide sufficient information for the court to evaluate those awards, it said in an order entered Monday.
