Pharmavite LLC, the maker of Nature Made supplements, tricks consumers into thinking its “extra strength” B12 vitamins product provides more nutritional value compared to the regular option, a proposed class action alleged.
Nature Made charges more for the “extra-strength” version of the product but those supplements “provide no greater vitamin B12 availability or nutritional value than” the lower-dosed and lower-priced option, according to the complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
