Natrol Cognium Brain Booster Suit Axed Over Plaintiff’s Misuse

A woman’s claims that Natrol LLC deceptively touted its Cognium memory booster failed because she admittedly misused the product for a condition it was unauthorized to treat, a Missouri federal court said.

Because her claims warrant dismissal, the proposed class action must be dismissed in its entirety, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri said.

Christine Vitello alleged Natrol advertised that nine clinical studies supported Cognium’s efficacy when two of the studies had been discredited.
