National Vision Holdings Inc. successfully defended against an investors’ class action alleging that false statements it made during and post-pandemic caused the value of its stock to drop 60%, a federal court said.
The plaintiffs didn’t “plead with particularity facts showing that any challenged statement was false or misleading at the time it was made,” Judge Victoria Marie Calvert said May 30 in an opinion for the US District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
