National Polo Association Sues Clothing Retailer Over Trademarks

United States Polo Association Inc. says a fraudulent apparel retailer is infringing a design trademark of two polo players, in a new complaint filed on Wednesday.

USPA says it’s been using a trademark depicting two polo players with outstretched mallets for clothing since 2006, and that Rivers World LLC obtained a similar trademark fraudulently, according to the complaint filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
