National GOP Bid to Close Colorado Primary Rejected by Court

A federal judge rejected an emergency plea from the National Republican Congressional Committee and several GOP US House members seeking to stop the mailing of ballots to unaffiliated voters for the state’s June 30 primaries.

US District Court for the District of Colorado Judge Philip A. Brimmer denied a motion from the committee as well as Representatives Lauren Boebert, Jeff Crank and Gabe Evans who sought to block the state’s nearly two million independents from participating in the Republican or Democratic primaries.
