South Carolina Rep. Nancy Mace (R) was sued for defamation Friday by one of the four men she publicly accused of rape and sexual abuse in a Congressional floor speech.

Brian Musgrave, one of the men named alongside Mace’s ex-fiance in her House speech last month detailing alleged sexual misconduct and secret recordings of sex acts, categorically denied Mace’s allegations and claimed that she destroyed his good name and reputation in the federal lawsuit.

Mace may have “felt that the message was so powerful that a little collateral damage in the form of Brian Musgrave’s name and reputation was acceptable,” ...
