Musk Potentially Liable in Presidential Election Bounty Suit

Elon Musk has failed to escape a claim asserting he’s potentially personally liable for not paying voters who signed, or referred others to sign, petitions pledging their support for speech and guns rights leading up to the 2024 presidential election.

Musk and his political action committee, America PAC, targeted registered voters in several swing states, offering them $100 for each signature or referral. The named plaintiffs heeded Musk’s call, but claimed they were never paid the promised sum and subsequently sued Musk, his action committee, and an alleged associated entity, Group America LLC.
