MTA Workers Must Provide More Info on $7 Million Wage Suit Deal

Workers who say the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority owe them unpaid overtime must provide additional details before a federal judge will sign off on a deal resolving the case.

Transit officers secured a settlement worth more than $7.2 million after accusing the MTA and TBTA of requiring them to work off the clock, costing them overtime pay. But the workers didn’t provide “any documentation” to back up their assertions about their potential recovery and the deal’s reasonableness, the US District Court or the Southern District of New York said.
