MS Patient Denied Chance to Sue Doctors for Delayed Diagnosis

A Massachusetts woman’s suit against medical providers who didn’t tell her about test results showing that she had multiple sclerosis is barred because she filed it too late, a state appeals court said.

The doctors’ ongoing treatment of Joan Moran within the seven-year medical malpractice repose period didn’t give her more time to sue because her claim related specifically to their negligence in failing to share the diagnosis and create a treatment plan, the Massachusetts Appeals Court said.
