Sirva Relocation LLC couldn’t convince a federal court to dismiss most of a proposed class lawsuit filed by a client’s employee whose Social Security number was impacted by a data breach.
Rosalyn Rivera’s employer contracted with Sirva to give its workers relocation services. She was able to convince the US District Court for the Central District of California to let her proceed with a breach of contract claim as a third-party beneficiary.
