The SEC has wrapped up its case against a movie producer who previously pleaded guilty to criminal charges of defrauding a BlackRock Inc. trust after it invested $75 million in his distribution company.
William Sadleir consented Monday to a judgment banning him from securities sales and assessing about $18 million in disgorgement and interest. The US District Court for the Southern District of New York entered final judgment, which deems the financial component satisfied by a restitution order in the criminal case, the same day.
