Mountain West Conference Escapes Suit Over Transgender Athlete

The Mountain West Conference won’t have to face claims from current and former student-athletes that its policy toward transgender athletes violates their constitutional rights and Title IX.

Judge S. Kato Crews of the US District Court for the District of Colorado also dismissed Tuesday most of the claims against the California State University board and school officials over the decision of one of the schools in the CSU system to roster an allegedly transgender woman on its women’s volleyball team.
