Mount Sinai’s $5.26 Million Privacy Settlement Gets Final Nod

New York-based Mount Sinai Health System Inc. will pay $5,265,588 to settle a class action alleging it illegally shared the personal information of patients with Meta Platforms Inc. through tracking pixels on its website.

Class members will be eligible for a pro rata share of the settlement fund after deduction of attorneys’ fees and other expenses, according to the plaintiffs’ motion for final approval of the deal. Judge Paul A. Engelmayer of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York granted the motion in a Tuesday order.
