Motorsport.tv Hit With Video-Privacy Suit Over Meta Info Sharing

Motorsport.tv Digital LLC disclosed the video viewing histories of its subscribers to Meta Platforms Inc. without their consent in violation of the Video Privacy Protection Act, a proposed federal class action said.

Alan Guereca alleged that Motorsport.tv installed the Meta pixel on its website. The pixel is a snippet of computer code allowing Meta’s Facebook unit to collect information arising from the interactions of Facebook subscribers with the site, including their Facebook ID and the titles of videos they requested.
