Motorola Sued Over Patents for Emergency Communication System

STA Group LLC accused Motorola Solutions Inc. of infringing four patents it holds in communications devices.

The patents “solve problems exhibited in communication systems and improve the communication systems’ functionality,” the complaint filed in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas said. The four patents are used for managing emergency communication systems (7, 324,802), trunking in a network environment (8,489,134), accessing video streams on mobile communication devices (8,994,830), and providing channel configurations in a communications environment (8,831664).
