Monsanto Plaintiffs Intervene in Suit Against Bayer (Correct)

The plaintiffs in a multidistrict litigation against Roundup weedkiller maker Monsanto Co. may intervene in a securities suit against Bayer AG, a federal trial court ruled.

Bayer, Monsanto’s parent company, hasn’t been involved in the Roundup case, and the intervention is for the sole purpose of allowing access to discovery from the securities case, Chief Judge Richard Seeborg said Friday for the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
