Monsanto, Former Burlington High Teachers Agree to End PCBs Suit

A group of former teachers at Burlington High School in Vermont agreed to drop their lawsuit against Monsanto Co. and its affiliates over their exposure to harmful levels of polychlorinated biphenyls through school building materials.

Judge William K. Sessions III of the US District Court for the District of Vermont dismissed the case with prejudice Thursday after the parties filed a stipulation of dismissal. The former teachers worked at the high school for years before it closed in 2020 after environmental tests indicated PCB levels exceeded federal and state regulations.
