MLS, Red Bulls Dismiss Lawsuit Against Kaku’s Agent (1)

Major League Soccer LLC and the New York Red Bulls soccer team voluntarily dismissed a suit Wednesday against the agent of Alejandro “Kaku” Gamarra for allegedly reneging on an extension clause in the player’s contract.

The filing in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey provided no explanation for the dismissal of claims against Scott Pearson, and counsel for the plaintiffs didn’t immediately respond to request for comment.

Counsel for Pearson, Chris Deubert in Washington, said the lawsuit was frivolous and “should never have been filed.”
