MLB’s Kansas City Royals Settle Race Discrimination Lawsuit

The Kansas City Royals baseball organization has settled a lawsuit brought by the former coordinator of the team’s charitable youth baseball program, alleging he was harassed and ultimately fired because he is Black.

The US District Court for the Western District of Missouri dismissed the case Tuesday on the stipulation of the parties. Plaintiff Cleitus Ross’ counsel, Anthony Landery Gosserand with Van Osdol PC, said the terms of the settlement are confidential.
