Missy Elliott Reaches Settlement With Producer in Copyright Spat

Legendary rapper Missy Elliott and music producer Terry Williams reached an undisclosed settlement to resolve their years-long legal battle over song ownership rights.

The agreement was reached on Aug. 22 to resolve all claims in two related lawsuits, Judge Nitza I. Quiñones Alejandro said in an order dismissing the claims Monday. Neither party immediately responded to requests for comment Tuesday.
