Missouri State ‘Bias Response Team’ Unconstitutional, Group Says

Missouri State University is accused of hindering free speech with its “bias response team,” which a conservative group alleges violates the First and Fourteenth Amendments.

The team, which is led by senior university administrators, can call in students who were reported for showing bias toward members of a range of groups for meetings and try to “educate” them about why the school believes their speech was wrong, says the suit from Defending Education filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Western District of Missouri.
