Minnesota Defeats Bid to Block School Sports Transgender Policy

Minnesota high schools can continue to allow transgender students to join sports teams consistent with their gender identity or expression, a federal court ruled, declining to block a policy to that effect.

The female sports safety group, Female Athletes United, lost its bid to block Minnesota officials from applying the policy to school sports designated for women or girls that involve contact or competitive athletic skills, according to the US District Court for the District of Minnesota.
