Mindvalley to Pay $450,000 to Settle Suit Over Meta Info Sharing

Self-improvement platform Mindvalley Inc. will pay $450,000 in attorneys’ fees and costs to settle a lawsuit over using tracking software from Meta Platforms Inc. on its website in violation of the Video Privacy Protection Act.

Judge Noël Wise of the US District Court for the Northern District of California granted the plaintiffs’ motion for final approval of the settlement in an Aug. 22 order. The deal requires Mindvalley to disable the Meta tracking software on pages of its website hosting video content for two years after the effective date of the agreement.
