Mindvalley Settlement to Restrict Facebook Pixel Gets First Nod

Self-improvement platform Mindvalley Inc. agreed to restrict its use of Meta Platforms Inc.'s Facebook Pixel as part of a preliminarily approved settlement over whether it disclosed users’ viewing history in violation of Video Privacy Protection Act.

The settlement approved Thursday requires disabling the website tracking code on the logged-on portion of Mindvalley’s website for a period of time and affirmative consent before enabling it on public areas, the US District Court for the Northern District of California said.
