Million Dollar Fee Award Okayed in Long-Running Law Firm Battle

A million dollar sanctions award to a Maryland law firm will stand in a long-running fee dispute between firms, the Fourth Circuit said Thursday.

The US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit affirmed a Maryland district court’s sanctions against attorney Paul J. Napoli, the law firm Napoli Shkolnik PLLC, and several other firms for abuse of process regarding two New York suits that sought the Maryland case’s dismissal.
