Mike and Ike Underfill Suit Dropped Following Class Settlement

California Mike and Ike consumers dropped a suit alleging it systematically underfilled its candy boxes, following resolution of their claims in a nationwide class settlement providing $1.6 million to claimants in cash and vouchers, filings in a California federal court show.

Stephanie Escobar alleged she bought a box of Mike and Ike candy at a movie theater and found it was about half-full of air. The opaque boxes deceived consumers about the amount of candy inside, she alleged in a suit against manufacturer Just Born Inc.
