Microsoft Ex-Director Sues Alleging Race, Gender, Disability Bias

Microsoft Corp. was hit with a lawsuit by a former director who says that after she requested medical leave the tech giant discriminated against her based on her race, gender, and disability status.

Elizabeth Stephens, a former data center cyber risk intelligence director, is suing Microsoft and two executives for violations of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and Tennessee law in the US District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. She brought claims of hostile treatment, denial of accommodations, and retaliation.
