Michigan School Shooting Victims’ Families Settle Claims (1)

The families of two students killed in a school shooting in Michigan agreed to $500,000 settlements from the school district after a federal appeals court tossed some of their lawsuits.

The loved ones of Madisyn Baldwin and Justin Shilling, two of the four students gunned down by 15-year-old Ethan Crumbley at Oxford High School in 2021, reached the agreements with the Detroit suburb’s school district.

An attorney for Baldwin’s family noted its settlement with Oxford Community Schools Thursday in a court filing, while Ven Johnson of Ven Johnson Law, who represents Shilling’s family, confirmed an agreement in an email ...
