A Michigan pain management doctor lost an appeal to undo convictions for unlawful distribution of controlled substances, health care fraud, and conspiracy when the Sixth Circuit on Wednesday rejected his “many” challenges to the trial proceedings.
The appeals court also affirmed David Jankowski’s 20-year prison sentence. He was convicted on 30 of 32 counts in July 2022 following a weeks-long jury trial in Detroit.
