A Michigan judge on Tuesday blocked the state from enforcing multiple abortion-related requirements, including a day-long waiting period, after voters there passed a constitutional amendment in 2022 enshrining reproductive rights.
Court of Claims Judge Sima G. Patel wrote that challengers to the requirements at issue, which are spelled out in Michigan law, proved that they’re likely to succeed on almost all their constitutional challenges.
