The Florida Supreme Court rejected former Trump administration National Security Advisor Michael Flynn’s bid to revive his defamation suit against Lincoln Project cofounder Rick Wilson, giving media outlets their second big win before the court in a week.
In a two-sentence opinion issued Wednesday, the court’s majority denied Flynn’s appeal request, saying that his case doesn’t fit a narrow reason for why the court would accept discretionary review—implicitly blessing a rule that benefits defendants in defamation suits.
