Michael Avenatti Judge Wants Resentencing Done by Early 2025

Michael Avenatti, the disgraced celebrity lawyer, will likely be resentenced by the first quarter of 2025, the federal judge overseeing his case said Monday.

Judge James V. Selna said that he’s “not necessarily of the view” that recalculating a sentence for Avenatti, who famously clashed with former President Donald Trump and represented adult film actress Stormy Daniels, will require an evidentiary hearing.
