Gun manufacturers must face a first-of-its-kind lawsuit brought by Mexico over the criminal misuse of weapons on foreign soil, the First Circuit said Monday.
Mexico claims that firearm giants, including Smith & Wesson Brands Inc. and Glock Inc., purposefully design and manufacture weapons that can easily be modified to fire automatically, attracting cartels and violating both US law and Mexican tort law.
