Metabyte Inc., a technology services company, has sued
“The minor and insignificant distinction between ‘Meta’ and ‘Metabyte’ means that there is a grave danger of confusion in the mind of the public,” according to the complaint filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of California on Sept. 22.
Since “Meta” is a common prefix in the technology industry, “Meta’s use of ‘Meta’ in and of itself is dangerous and cavalier,” Metabyte said.
