Meta, VideoLabs Resolve Dispute Over Digital Video Patents

Meta Platforms Inc. and VideoLabs Inc. agreed to end litigation over the social media giant’s alleged infringement of several video-processing patents.

The companies moved to dismiss the case with prejudice Thursday following a 45-day stay the US District Court for the District of Delaware approved in August to allow the parties to finalize their settlement agreement. VideoLabs sued Meta in May 2022, alleging its social media platforms used patented video technologies without paying for access.
