Meta Takes Loss on Additional Claims in Health-Care Pixel Suit

Meta Platforms Inc. must face additional claims in a proposed class action alleging its Facebook “pixel” tracking tool violated the health-care privacy of millions of people, a federal court ruled.

The plaintiffs in the consolidated lawsuit made sufficient factual allegations to state claims for invasion of privacy, common law trespass to chattels, and violations of the California Comprehensive Computer Data Access and Fraud Act, Judge William H. Orrick III of the US District Court for the Northern District of California said Monday.
