Meta Ordered to Meet With Pixel Suit Lawyers Over Deleted Data

Meta Platforms Inc. must sit down with attorneys suing it for health privacy violations over its Pixel website tracking technology to explain how they can obtain key button-click data Meta deleted, a San Francisco federal judge said at a hearing Wednesday.

Attorneys representing a proposed class of millions of medical patients whose sensitive health data was shared with Meta are arguing the tech giant should face legal sanctions for failing to retain many months worth of patient button-click data.
