Mesa Digital Drops Patent Infringement Claims Against Motorola

Mesa Digital LLC ended its lawsuit alleging Motorola Mobility LLC was infringing its patent related to wireless handheld devices.

The New Mexico-based technology company filed a notice of dismissal without prejudice Sunday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Mesa owns US Patent No. 9,031,537, which covers methods, systems, and processes for electronic handheld multimedia devices. The company sued Motorola on Sept. 24, asserting its Moto E5 Play infringes the ‘537 patent.
