Mercy Hospital Must Face Worker’s Bias Suit Over Annual Flu Shot

Mercy Hospital Rogers in Arkansas must face a physical therapist assistant’s religious bias suit over its mandatory annual flu shot requirement because it’s not yet clear the hospital is an exempt religious organization, the state supreme court ruled.

The Arkansas Civil Rights Act doesn’t define “religious corporation, association, society, or other religious entity” for purposes of the exemption from the law’s job bias prohibitions for suchentities, the state justices said.
