Intervet Inc., which does business as Merck Animal Health, convinced a federal judge to toss some consumer protection claims in a proposed class action alleging it deceptively advertised Bravecto, its flea and tick treatment for pets.
The US District Court for the District of New Jersey on Monday trimmed claims under the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act, the Illinois Consumer Fraud Act, and a claim under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. The court allowed other consumer protection claims to proceed.
