Mercedes Settles Workers’ Wage Suit Stemming From Kronos Hack

Mercedes-Benz US International Inc. settled one of many cases filed against it as a result of a cyberattack on its timekeeping company, Kronos Inc., which allegedly affected Mercedes’ ability to track hours and pay for its employees.

James Click, joined by Kenzar and Freda Strong, alleged that Mercedes violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by not paying them properly during the outage caused by the hack.

The amount paid to each plaintiff under the settlement is fair and reasonable in light of their claims, Judge Madeline Hughes Haikala of the US District Court for the Northern District of Alabama said ...
