Medical Recruiter Wins Tentative Group Status for Overtime Suit

A physician recruiter who says Medicus Healthcare Solutions LLC failed to pay earned overtime can pursue his suit as a collective after a federal judge granted conditional certification.

The health staffing firm argued that the recruiter waited too long to seek that certification for his proposed Fair Labor Standards Act collective, but the worker provided a reasonable explanation and the lenient standard used for earlier motions is still appropriate, the US District Court for the District of New Hampshire said.
