MediaTek Hit With Suit Over Chip Patents Acquired From Intel

MediaTek Inc. is facing claims of infringing chip patents developed by Intel Corp. that were acquired by Daedalus Prime LLC, in a suit filed in the Eastern District of Texas.

The asserted patents, Nos. 8,769,316; 10,372,197; 10,740,281; 8,984,228; 11,507,167; 9,887,838; 10,705,960 and 10,725,919, “relate to groundbreaking improvements to microprocessor circuitry and mobile wireless, and have particular application in consumer electronics such as smartphones, tablets, and personal computers,” Daedalus alleges in the complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
